What I collect

The contact form and the ask box on a note take two things: an email address and a message. Nothing else is required, and there is no account to make.

A hidden field sits in each form to catch automated submissions. If you are a person, you never see it and never fill it in.

What happens to it

Your message is emailed to me at real@teddy.bar and a copy is emailed back to you, so you have a record of what you sent. Replies go to the address you wrote from.

I keep the message in my inbox for as long as the conversation is useful. It is never sold, and it is never added to a mailing list unless you ask for that separately.

Who else touches it

Resend delivers the email. The message passes through their systems and appears in their short delivery log.

Vercel hosts the site and runs the form endpoint. Their server logs record the usual request details, including your IP address.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a send came from a person rather than a script. It sees your IP address and some signals about your browser, and may leave a short-lived token in it. Cloudflare states Turnstile is not used to track people across sites.

Cookies and tracking

There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookie on this site.

One small thing is stored in your own browser: if you tick items on the free worksheet, the ticks are remembered locally so the page survives a refresh. That never leaves your device.

The newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, your address is stored with Resend for that purpose only. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and leaving removes the address.
